Blacks In Argentina

Didnt know that. What I can say is that yes in its origins it maybe racist, but the reproduction of that term till today does not make evry people racist. I

Fair enough. Just be aware that when Argentinians use the expression near Brazilian tourists, they are not helping to change the prevailing perception that Argentinians are a bunch of racist bigots.

Of course it is completely OK for you to consistently stereotype Argentines Camberiu.

Hello Pot, meet Mr Kettle.

[background=rgb(252, 252, 252)]You are not reading my post , it seems you are very extremist.[/background]
I mean, generrally you can only read that since 1977 almost all slaves were "forced as slaves" but history demonstrates that; it was a social cast and is still in some places around the world

So you see that today hong kong or touaregs and other places have slaves too
I must say that I dont agree with slavery
I do not agree either with the brutal treating that many of them recieved while transported and working in or to usa, argentina, uruguay, brasil, etc.

. i was only remarking a point
So please dont mix the waters

Mostly, if there is a person with very dark skin of African descent, people just look at them with utter curiosity because there are so few black people.
This is closer to my impression too. I have not yet run into the kind of racism here as described above, and what racism I have seen is toward dark-skinned south american latinos. But I have yet to see the kind of deep seated racial hatred that is so common in the US. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but in my circles I have certainly not been exposed to it.

At the same time, the lack of true racial diversity here is rather stark, definitely something that I noticed right away when I first came here.
