Hey guys,

I wonder if anyone can help. I've been offered a job in Buenos Aires and am keen to accept. The company is sponsoring my visa but I wondered if my fiance would be able to look for work once in BA. I'm not sure if there is such a thing as partnership visa or if it would be easier once we get married.

Any help, greatly appreciated.

Andrew

As far as I know, the only way he could legally work is to find some company that would sponsor him for a visa as well.

In order to work legally, he must have a DNI. And in order to have a DNI, he must be granted temporary or permanent residency. The only way he would qualify for residency is if you get married. There's no such thing as a fiancee visa, they will ask you for your marriage certificate.

The other way is that he can work remotely for an US company. There are many online jobs too. Or he can just work here, making cash.
Working legally also means taking a local pay, so not a big deal.

Hey Guys,
Thanks for the replies. Seems as I suspected. He's Dutch so it'd need to be a European company if he were to work remotely. Seems like a good option.
