Looking for some cheap forms of transportation to mar de plata, any suggestions?

Because I dont have any better ideas I guess, never been there or pretty much anywhere in Argentina except for Lobos and I didnt thing it was all that.

Every body loves to hate MDP. T and I love it and go every year during those months. In fact we just got back. We stay at the Sheraton, fabulous views overlooking the Navy marina. And we walk miles and miles on the rambla. Personally I am not interested in lying around in the sand on an empty beach.
