Yes and not only would the economy have collapsed, you would have one of two scenarios:

• Mad Max
• Military Dictatorship

The latter would be much more likely.

The latter would be much more likely.

An autocratic (constitutional) dictatorship could be. Certainly not a military one as the training and educational formation of the ARG armed forces today post dates 1976 by 8-10 years. Their training and objectives resemble those of the US National Guard.
