Living in argentina without a contingency plan is at the very least irresponsible and i will back this statement if you care to read.
March 76 tanks on the streets, suspension of constitutional rights until 83
Meantime inflation and hyper inflation , job market became invisible, also over night you went from citizen to suspect for the duration
First riots in the 90s due to... you guessed it inflation and lack of jobs, supermarkets raided, and some burnt to the ground, many victims.Cavalry no where to be found or arriving late
Early 2000s banks taking by order of the federal gov. all assets from private citizens including safety deposit boxes .with the promise of being repaid in the next 10 years at cero interest. some got paid some didn't
After that populism took over generating the protection of criminals hiding under the human rights umbrella, and again safety on the streets became the law of the jungle except that now the cavalry doesn't even bother to show up due to lack of funds in many cases.
I could go on and on with more detail examples but the bottom line here is , there is no safety , there is this new way of thinking that protects the law breakers , the gov won't protect you. the banks won't help or protect your assets, and if we were to add up any other type of contingency , is for damn certain no one will come to your aid.
As Steve said, one months supplies at hand and cash is the bare minimum you should have at all times..... sorry if this disrupted your notion that people are great here , friendly and really care for you....
