What would you do fix the economy that Obama hasn't? Wouldn't this involve more spending and adding to the deficit? How would you ever get such a program approved by Congress? In fact that's what I think he going to propose soon. If it passes then he will take credit for proposing it and he can blame the GOP if they vote it down, this is all for positioning for 2012.

As he advocates additional stimulus, PauL Krugman (Noble Prize winning economist) just provided the answer: Either by digging and refilling ditches or preparing a defense against a phony alien invasion.

If the latter is a good idea why should we ever have be concerned about the cost of the war in Iraq?

Who should quit while they're falling behind?

Yes, BHO will blame the Republicans if they vote down additional stimulus.

But it will not ensure his reelection.

Sorry my mistake, I believe had read earlier about your daughter going back to school, assumed you were talking about financial aid to her, which as a parent would save you money. You didn't say this, I just read your post to quickly and assumed that's what you were talking about.

How is standing up for one's own beliefs in the face of insults being a bully?

Why do you keep calling me names?

I defend my values with no apologies.

Glen Beck is a Mormon. I am an atheist.

Neither of us would condemn each other for our religious beliefs (or my lack of them).

What we have in common is the love of freedom and individual rights for all.

Well you need to refine your tactics they are fairly transparent. They boil down to name calling and denigration of others when you can't get your point across or are losing the argument, maybe thug describes you better than bully.

Actually she or her husband had to work for years and pay into SS to get something out of it in retirement. You are describing her like she is some sort benefits cheat. I find this comment offensive and ignorant.
