390 pesos to the dollar

And a new purchase, a Louis Majorelle chair circa 1904, Clématis model (paid 15/20% of what it would reach at Christie's...). Could be a repro made in Argentina in the 1920s though (will know for sure soon).

With the Marcel Kammerer/Thonet table (1904) and the Sezessionsstil desk + cupboard (1895-1905).

Many finds for a very cheap price (15% of the price in any major US/European auction house) in just a few weeks!

I need to buy a carbon monoxide detector and found a USA product that runs on batteries, not requiring an outlet for power. http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-522655153-alarma-detector-de-monoxido-de-carbono-autonomo-marca-kidde-_JM It costs less than locally made detectors. The page even includes the instruction manual in English.

@ splattermatter

Don't know zilch about those kind of items, but they look nicely crafted. Maybe are they closer to the 1940 era? But I have no idea.

Another buy on ML (seller didn't know what she had). A set of 4 chairs for 2100 pesos (35 USD per chair).

Turns out it's a reedition (of a very nice quality) made in Belgium in the 1980s, following an original design from the early 1900s by... Greene & Greene ( http://en.wikipedia....eene_and_Greene ).

Another cheap purchase... This tea/coffee set (incomplete & needs to be replated) from the Argentor manufacture. Argentor ? Could sound like an Argentine company, noottttt.... It's Austrian, around 1900.

I paid 100 USD, that's a steeeaaalllll !

And last but not least. I paid it more or less what it's worth (expensive), but in the low range of an European price.

A complete service for 12 people from the Fraureuth manufacture (Germany), early 1900s, sssooooo jugendstil/art nouveau, painted in gold & blue.
In a perfect/new condition, and no, it's not a reedition, that's the real stuff.

I guess that's one of the nicest service Fraureuth ever made. It's a 1 in a lifetime find (because it's so nice, complete, in a new condition).

If only I could find the name of the artist behind this design (if it was designed by Hoffmann or such, would be worth 50K maybe)
