Foreigners (Tourists & Non-Res) Cannot Use Ars For Travel

So it may mean that very soon there, a foreign traveller has to pay with US$ every where? For shopping, for food, for lodging etc.etc.?

NO Hybrid - this is only for Tourism, such as Hotels, Plane Tickets, etc. We will see if the BCRA includes small Tourist Operators (like City tours) in the definition, but I doubt it.

Sr. Tango?
Well Teatro Colon Tour has had all along a higher price for non residents , as well as Calfate National Park.
!
One has to find a resident friend to pick up the Bill at restaurants in hotels, etc ... Brave New World?

Separate lines at City Tours Bus " Residents line up first " Please...!!

Like the USA Embassy Lines for Visas.... Citizens First, they cry out,. Line UP HERE... jajjaja

I love the lines at the Pharmacy I go to, they ask Particulares up Front. Because we pay full fare no Medical Plan huge discounts. Its like Airline First Class treatment.

Different prices by an operator for residents and non-residents is a different story completely. For example, the higher prices for Teatro Colon tours, and National Park Entrance can still be paid in Pesos, I imagine that this will continue to be the case. There are many places where various prices are used - 1 for residents of the province, 1 for residents of the country and 1 for non-residents.

Hotel restaurants may already charge in dollars, albeit with the option to pay in pesos, and again this wil hardly effect the average "tourist".

Same as everywhere else, tourists in Spain or France pay mostly with CC, to pay latter in monthly paymnets at home, and perhaps cash some Euros for shoeshines...jajajaj

I can see why people ignore you. Venezuela is swimming in dollars, that's the reason why they are accessing massive amounts of overseas credit (10 billion so far - 1 billion from Russias Gazprom, 5 billion from China and recently from the private sector (Goldman Sachs) using their gold inventory as security. I think it is you who needs to educate yourself. PS. Those figures you claim are bs are the same figures as the article you posted and also come from Venezuelas central bank. Maybe you should read before you type. Oh yer, and all the foreign aid that is being stopped to their allies is because they have too many dollars.
Is that really the best you could do? Most financial insitutions think Venezuela is a solid investment. Thats just a simple fact. Most non partisan analysts agree. You and the doom and gloom squad are on your own buddy. Thats another simple fact. Ill wait for you to post solid data that refutes this before I reply. Your personal opinion is worth what I paid for it.

The Venezuela Economy deserves another thread.... ?
I dont think so. Someone tried to lump Venezuelas economy with Argentinas economy saying they dont have dollars. I simply reminded them that thats simply not true. Im sure they wish Venezuela wasnt sitting on some of the worlds largest gas and oil reserves but it is. Sorry guys. Argentina on the other hand doesnt have that luxury.

Went almost unnoticed , but in recent days , and by means of a circular, the Central Bank imposed restrictions to sell dollars to travel agencies and tourism intending to cancel international travel and / or sections in foreign countries , and packages and travel services in the country and abroad when buyers of these products seek to pay in pesos .

In this regard , the governing body Juan Carlos Fabrega points out in his brand as transport companies and local tourism will have access to foreign exchange market ( the Central Bank will sell dollars) to the attention of rating services sold to non-residents only if such purchases are canceled for non-residents with credit card or debit card issued abroad , currency transfers from abroad , checks on accounts abroad and / or foreign currency banknotes .

Thus, according to reports , the Government seeks to suffocate the blue dollar market as the bulk of the tourists coming to Argentina sold their dollars in that market ( yesterday paid them $ 9.58 for every dollar ) and concurred with weights to hire passages and tourist services. A tourist with u $ s 2,000 in his pocket yesterday could get $ 19,160 in the informal market versus $ 12,560 would pay him in an exchange , or even in your own travel agency as they are forced to buy foreign currency to official price ($ 6.28) . With this operation, a tourist could get up to 52 % more weight .

From now on , every tourist who intends to get to Argentina with foreign currency may use to cancel travel expenses and tourism ( official value ) or must use other means of payment for this task . At the same time , the new restriction imposed by the agencies need to charge for their services and products to non-residents with means of payment involving an outlay of dollars from the CA ( foreign banks ) to cancel the services , making the Argentine Central Bank foreign exchange that sum save. ? In recent months he had grown the number of tourists coming into the country and changed the blue to make a difference , because that way they saved good money regarding tickets or packages that could pay in their countries of origin ? , they said in a wholesale travel agency . The red in the tourism balance remains a major concern of the national executive , a few days ago published in the official gazette the increased value of currencies for purchases abroad . According to the latest data released by the INDEC , October was no exception and an expansion of 6% of the costs of Argentines abroad , which totaled u $ s 306.5 million , which was recorded lie inbound tourism spent u $ s 211.4 million . Also, in the first 10 months of the year , the accumulated deficit is u $ s 632.7 million .

I went to LAN yesterday (office on Paraguay and 9 de julio). I'm considering a February getaway (international) and I asked for a rate and for the paying in pesos status. I was told that I could pay in pesos for both domestic and international (adding 35% of course). The guy was aware I don't have a DNI. He didn't seem to have a clue about the pesos for foreigners restrictions.
