How much more are you paying for your health (prepaga) insurance?

Outrageous given the ages.
That must be the absolute gold-plated OSDE plan, though. I am impressed. We plebs (Mrs. Pintor and me) muddle along with OSDE 210 (and I really have no complaints about the coverage, it basically saved my life and I paid SFA out of pocket). I bitch about the cost per month, but that's just me.

The main attraction for me and the Mrs is the very substantial and easy to use medical/travel insurance (Universal Assistance) included with the plan. We are outside the country frequently and that adds extra peace of mind and practicality. About eight years ago I had Moh's surgery on my face at the Instituto Fleming and OSDE paid for it all with zero out of pocket expenses.

I was actually able to get Cigna Global with US coverage for 1 adult and 2 kids for the same price as OSDE. It was a bit nuts!

Kids must be cheap on Cigna, we were paying quite a bit more than OSDE 210 for 2 adults 7-8 years ago.

Now OSDE 210 is 501k Pesos for two adults for July.

Of course I don't have your policy in front of me but .....I had Cigna WW coverage some years ago and found out that when push came to shove....I had very little coverage when all their crazy deductible schedules are really analyzed. I read a lot about expat insurance and really.....I hope I am wrong in your case.....but if I am right....you could be faced with massive out of pocket expenses before the insurance does any good. Cigna WW is the worst insurance I have ever seen.
