Misuse, Mispelling Of English

Thanks everybody for your anecdotes! We are certainly reading some of them on tonight's show: radioledonline.com at 8PM. Or always at www.bacast.com

Thanks again for your contributions to this segment of BA Cast...this is the episode, in the second half of the program we read several of these stories and anecdotes.

Gracias!

This isn't a misspelling en English or misuse of English but it's still funny. I was taking a taxi last night on Au. Ricchiere and the driver got lost. We passed a huge sign that said "balneario atomico" and we were both cracking up. I suppose it's not meant to attract tourists. "Nuclear hot springs/health resort".

I passed a kid with the word "fuck" written straight across his shirt and no one
on the street seemed to be as surprised as I. I thought that one was obvious.

Though on a good note, I saw this in my local Dia:

An Argy friend of mine showed my wife and I how his son was learning English.

Dad: Nahuel, "Pollo" in ingles?
Son: Chicken
Dad: Repollo?
Son: Rechicken.

It was a setup I think, but funny anyway.

Very chicken?

I once again have to recommend Nik's (Gaturro's) "Brutish English" - even more for those who enjoy the occasional fattie.

I saw some cheese called 'Rape Fondonte' in disco the other day

At the Parrilla in Temaiken Zoo they have translated 'Bife de Entraña' into 'Entrails'

The bimbo logo caught my eye at the local store. There was some equally funny slogan on the poster, but I don't recall it now.

Edit - haha - just realized it's a US brand. Not sure why I don't remember seeing it there.

Not a US brand, it's widely available in the US though.
