Monedero and Sube

You do NOT need a DNI to get a SUBE card....

You sure about that? I just tried to get a sube card at an Oca location and they said you had to have a 'documento argentino'.

Maybe I went to the wrong place though.

Las tarjetas son gratuitas y se entregan una por persona, tras completar el formulario de registro y presentar DNI, cédula o documento donde conste: nombre y apellido, tipo y número de documento, y fecha de nacimiento.

"The cards are free and can be given to an individual after completing the registration form and presenting a DNI, cedula, or an ID with the following information: name and last name, document type and number, and date of birth"

There you have it! You just got a person who doesn't know their own policies.. just go to a Post Office and try again and hopefully you will get someone who knows the rules. But definitely do whatever you have to do to get the card-- it'll change your life!

I'm the one who created this thread. Ended up getting the Monedero card without having to present any ID at the Monedero office at Estación Tribunales of línea D. This card has changed my life :)

Just want to say that actually you can get a monedero at any of those "open 25h" shops/kiosk or however they are called. There are lots of them. I did not care about getting it personalized though since I did not care whether I am able to recover the remaining credit in case of theft.
Someone told me that SUBE is just for transport and Monedero can actually be used to pay in some places, but I never used it for that. Either way, both are fine and one can just get the card that is easier to obtain.

River Plate's socio ID-cards have the Monedero function as well. :)
Since today, probably, it will be it´s only function.
Really astonished how a card changed so many lives (referring to Monedero). I used to think that marriage, kids, a college degree, the death of a wealthy uncle or war made that effect. World has changed.

Monedero is actually offering a free service to River socios - they will relaminate the card with the generic Monedero logo so the card can be taken out in public and is still useful for something.

River tarjeta de socio always has value

Atleast next year we will only play with inferiores

Enjoy the B then, with any luck the spoiled brats currently laying waste to Nuñez will learn some manners playing away to Deportivo Merlo.
