It doesn't help unless you are just looking for a way to send money to someone in the US and you have a US bank account. The OP didn't say if he has a US account or not, if he doesn't, fugetaboutit!!!!

AFAIK, you could do it as family support (assuming you had done all the paperwork). Otherwise, your best bet is to find someone here with an account there and give them cash here while they do a transfer there.
