There is a strong outbreak of dengue cases in the province of Buenos Aires: 26 municipalities are on alert and due to this increase - more than 40 thousand positives in the current season - laboratory analysis is no longer done for etiological diagnosis but is established according to the patient's symptoms....Strictly speaking, cases rose 66% in one week, going from 1,796 confirmed cases to 2,997, while since the beginning of the new outbreak there have been four reported deaths....

The risk of developing severe dengue fever increases if you have dengue fever for the second, third or fourth time. “A previous dengue virus infection increases the risk of severe symptoms if you contract the disease again.”. “Severe dengue can cause internal bleeding and organ damage. Blood pressure can drop to dangerous levels and cause shock. In some cases, severe dengue can cause death,” they add from the American health center....
 
Did I read that the vaccine was available for those between the ages of 6 and 60? What about us old ****ers?!
 
The Vaccine $70 K pesos, may get discount at some Pharmacies to $55 K.
You generally need to get a doctor's prescription first. The discount only comes with a prepaga/ obra social and prescription.
Mine came with the advice to wait 15-20 days after having last COVID vaccine and not take any other non-dengue vaccines in the next 3-6 months.
It is also a two dose vaccine spaced 3 months apart, so by vaccinating now won't have any decent immunity until around the end of winter.

I don't see it any less than last year. Frequently see CABA motorbikes with what looks like two jerry cans on the back sprouting out smoke riding around Palermo. Also the trucks generally pass through residential areas late at night/ in the madrugada.
