Nisman Dead!

Bajo Cero mentioned this character Stiusso. He's evidently a big guy in the Argentine intelligence services, and was, up until December 20, the General Director of Operations. He was replaced by Parilli. http://www.lanacion....de-inteligencia

According to the judge of the case, Stiusso and Nisman had a close relationship. http://www.perfil.co...50118-0002.html Stiusso worked quite a bit on the AMIA case.

Isn't it odd that: 1) Stiusso is fired after nearly 50 years in the Argentine intelligence services and 2) Nisman comes home early from vacation (starting on January 1, ending on January 20) with a 300 page report? Who prepared it, and why would he urgently end his vacation early to deliver it?

What if the evidence he was given were fake? How can one confirm the authenticity of these phone calls? If they were legitimate, would one think that the government would order them to be released? http://www.lanacion....s-de-la-ex-side

What if Nisman were lied to, realized it/found out the night before, and couldn't bare the fact that he had ruined his career?

I may not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to use the subjunctive in English.

got that. stupid to think it was good self protection but better than nothing. wrong to think it would work for suicide. its a small caliber, if a nine millimeter does not work what makes you think a normal emotional person could effectively do to themselves. chances are really low. 357, 44, or 45 I get that. placing a gun behind behind the ear and pulling the trigger, try that in mirror with the right. high bad, low good. sorry just don't buy in

The President talked:

not saying who's responsible. he was murdered. special forces people use 22's because it has less noise but requires exact location. behind the ear requires direction of fire. my cousin lived for 2 days. the neurology doc said usually you are a vegetable and live without proper placement or large caliber. go Baja cero. know I am late to the party

Methink you do not know enough regarding guns. 22 is easier to suppress, apparently not the case here.
Putting a gun to the side of your head is often a recipe for failure and turning yourself into an instant vegetable instead of a corpse.
Special Forces hardly ever use low calibres, assasins do, for completely different reasons.

scrambles the brain, but does not kill you. its really is not easy to kill yourself with a gun. small caliber no noise not effective, large caliber lots of noise and a lot of damage. just put a 357 or 45 in your mouth and pull the trigger if you want to die. 22 no way too small. have to have the vital points and emotional guy wont know that

inzogud you are right. I am generalizing for the masses. he was assinated.

The Israeli's favorite gun/caliber combination is a .22 long rifle semi-auto pistol. Of course they would walk up to point blank range and put two in the victim's head.

I had a neighbor in Ohio who decided to shoot herself in a head with a .22 revolver. I heard the bang of the gun; her 8 year old son came out of the house screaming. When I asked him what happened he said my mommy shot herself. The gun was a .22 Short, significantly less powerful then a .22lr. After the paramedics drove off to the hospital, the few officers I spoke with were laughing; they were close to tears, laughing. When I asked them what was so funny, one of them showed me the gun. They were laughing thinking the woman would have more problems with an infection (the bullet penetrated the scalp but not the skull and travelled 3-4 inches under the scalp) - ever see the green slime that forms on brass over time? It was a wonder the gun even fired! Several hours later, my neighbor, back from the hospital, now with pain meds and a few more beers, was back being obnoxious!

The lowly .22 lr kills more people every year then any other caliber. The difference is the bigger the bullet the more likely death is quicker. Don't sell the .22 lr short.

Having spent 30 years in the military, another 10-1/2 years as a federal law enforcement officer, and a lifetime collector of guns, all I can say is with regards to handguns, there is no guaranteed one shot stop caliber - some people make it to the emergency room, surgery, and home in a month after being shot 4 times with a .45 acp round, others die on the way to the ER after being shot by a .22!
