Any suggestions for where to get Peruvian food ? Both nicer and casual places, please.

Extra points for one in San Telmo (we're craving ceviche tonight) but in general, anywhere around town.

Thanks!

My faves
primavera trujillana (belgrano, near barrio chino - cheap and v. tasty)
bardot (palermo - pricier but amazing)
chan chan (congresso, cheap and v.tasty)

Here are 2 more (expensive but great!)
Sipan - Paraguay 624
Astrid & Gaston - Lafinur 3222

There is a great Peruvian place oppposite Abasto shopping (I forget the street, but it is on the west side of Abasto Shopping, just a few doors from Corrientes). Cheap and great food. And another, near Congreso, is called States. It is on Virrey Cevallos, between Yrigoyan and Alsina. I go there for lunch often and quite enjoy it. There is another, really cheap place on Yrigoyen between San Jose and Salta - called Chan Chan. Good food, really cheap.

For people in the Congreso area, my favorite is called Inka Si Señor on B Mitre with Ayacucho. They just remodeled but it's still cheap and delicious and always full of Peruvian clientele which I think is a good sign.

Their bathroom is gross but most of them are so I don't generally count that against them!

There's a good one on the edge of villa crespo and palermo soho and it's very good value. It's called Karmela, on Uriarte, just past Castillo.

Small correction -- it's called "Status"

I'll vouch for this place too..
