Those facilities are there in Argentina, the main problem is parents don't motivate there children to reach for the stars.

The facilities are nothing like they are in countries like the US, UK, China, Australia (though bad Olympics this one), not even close.

Nor is the funding or upkeep of school sports facilities. You obviously haven't spent much time in the US or similar higher funding countries.

Nor is the funding or training of coaches, often to follow a nationally planned regime for certain sports so everyone is training with the same methodology.

I am born and raised in one of those higher funding countries which is probally going to finish first in ratio amount of habitants : Gold medals

Argentina spend 226.000.000 peso this year on London 2012, or around 40 milion euro = Result 1 bronce so far(and silver or Gold)

Holland spend 40.000.000 euros this year on London 2012 = Result 5 gold medals, 15 medals so far(with probally another 4 medals coming)
