This is a song about why an electric kettle costs 2 1/2 times more here. I'd like to dedicate this song to any lesbian gremialistas out there. This is a song called 'To win without risk is to triumph without glory' or 'If I mixed crunchy peanut butter and dulce de leche would you hold it against me?' (music: J. Richman)

Well I was gambling at a dice joint one Friday night
And that dice joint table was a little uptight
Yeah, I was counting cards alone a little self conscious
When some kids came up and said, "If you're gamblin' come with us."
And soon...

I was gambling in the Conrad Hotel, ah-oo, ah-oo
I was gambling in the Conrad Hotel, oo, oo, oo

Well I was gamblin' in the Conrad Hotel
down in Uruguay
I was gamblin' with my friend's
dough and feeling out a sight
Well for my first shoot I rolled fever five
But for this shoot I rolled snake eyes!
For the first shoot I rolled fever five
in the next shoot I rolled snake eyes!

I was gambling in the Conrad Hotel, ah-oo, ah-oo
I was gambling in the Conrad Hotel, oo, oo, oo

Well I was gamblin' in the Conrad Hotel
Way downtown
I was there to bet some clams
And hang around
Well in the first joint things were stop and stare
But in Conrad's things were laissez faire!
In the first joint things were stop and stare
In Conrad's things were laissez-faire

I was gambling in the Conrad Hotel, ah-oo, ah-oo
I was gambling in the Conrad Hotel, oo, oo, oo

In the first joint folks were holding chips
But in Conrad's they were tossing tips!
In the first joint folks were holding chips
In Conrad's they were tossing tips

I was gambling in the Conrad Hotel, ah-oo, ah-oo
I was gambling in the Conrad Hotel, oo, oo, oo

Well in the first joint, I was poker faced
But in Conrad's Joe's bucks went to waste!
In the first joint I was poker faced
In Conrad's it all went to waste!

I was gambling in the Conrad Hotel, ah-oo, ah-oo
I was gambling in the Conrad Hotel, oo, oo, oo

Well in the first joint I was more controlled
But in Conrad's things were Rock and Roll!
In the first joint I was more controlled
In Conrad's I got way way bold

I was gambling in the Conrad Hotel, ah-oo, ah-oo
I was gambling in the Conrad Hotel, oo, oo, oo

I'm thinking the third last post might provide some clues...

Ha ha, anytime someone mentions their "Hells Angels buddies" I always assume it's a joke. If they really had Hell's Angels buddies, they would know to keep their mouth shut.

I knew sooner than later, Joe's thread to be shut down. So no more, I Was Swindled Out of $1000 Dollars, LOCKED !

Joe, it is time to re-name the obvious and start new saga.....

hannstew is a good guy even if his motorcycle buddies can rough house occasionally. I met hannstew at a BAexpat party back in the day. The parties at the Old Russian Ambassador's residence in Vicente Lopez back five years ago. You're talking to someone at a party, ask them where the're from, and keep narrowing it down and in hannstew's case, it turns out we went to the same high school - the ole 'it's a small world phenomenon'...

This is a song called 'Spring has sprung a trap' or 'How blessed are those who are Canadian, because it is they who will inherit the earth' (music: H. Williams)

I can settle down and be doin' just fine
Til' I hear there's a poker tour just down the line
Then I hurry straight home and pack
And if I didn't go, I believe I'd blow my stack

I love you Joe, but you gotta understand
When the Lord made me, He made a Gamblin' Man

Some folks might sa-ay that I'm no good
That I wouldn't settle debts if I could
But when those cards start a callin' me
There's an urge inside that I gotta set free

Sometimes it's har-rd but you gotta understand
When the Lord made me, He made a Ga-amblin' Man

I love to see the dice a-rollin' by
And to ride my luck, 'neath God's blue sky
Let me bet your cash from the mountains to the sea
'Cause that's the life I believe, He meant for me

And when I'm go-one and at my grave you stand
Just say God cashed-in the chips of a Ga-amblin' Man

Pauper, I'm diggin your songs but I'm thinking 2 things, 1) you have too much time on your hands, 2) you probably should look into being a songwriter/ musician

This song is about how love can conquer boundaries between cultures as disparate as Canada and the United States. I'd like to dedicate this song to Glenn Beck's proctologist and any speakers of the Canadian parliament who were forced to cross south of the border to have a prostate operation because of their inadequate health care system. This is a song called 'Joe's River Boat Dream' or 'I really should've gone out last night instead of staying up until sunrise writing another song' (music: W. Oldham)

When it's time from work to go
And in my mind I row
Cross that silvery rio
When the evening light is falling
And I look towards that famous old faro
Where the dollar bills do flow
And I dream of two green eyes
With a merry mouth below

He's my beauteous Ben Franklin
He's my joy and sorrow too
Though I know he is taboo,
Oh but I cannot live without him
For my heart's a boat in tow
And I'd give the world to know
If he means to let me go
As I sing the whole day through

Oh Ben Franklin your lovely hair
Has more beauty I declare
Than all the tresses there
From Tigre to Berazetegui
Be they black, red, gold or brown
Let them hang to lenghts below
They mean not as much to me
As a single grain of blow

And his eyes are like the gleam
Of the sunlight on the stream
And the screeching bondis seem
To call his name when passing
But my heart is full of woe
For he left with Santiago
And the tears begin to flow
As I sing the whole day through

We've heard rumours that Fugazzeta Blues is to be released on YouTube but we're still waiting.

I'm already working on a cover version of the song with a sweet riff on electric accordion but there's no way I can release it until the original comes out. We need to be careful with feedback whilst recording.
