Welcome To The Dictatorship Of Happiness

Obama has a hell of a time passing anything thru the congress. How many Presidential Decrees has he passed in 8 years? And to what end? Look at the number Mugricio has past. And for what ends.

With Congress determined to block anything by Obama on principle, its not surprising he has a hard time getting legislation through. And he's passed less decrees in his eight years than all Presidents from Teddy Roosevelt onwards other than George H Bush and Gerald Ford. As to what end, I'll let you examine and evaluate every one and get back to us. I'll just take the numbers for now.

If there was any doubt, nothing better that the Minister of internal affairs to confirm it:

By the way, i was one day in advance in this news:
http://www.lanacion.com.ar/1859770-los-gremios-del-senado-se-oponen-a-la-reduccion-de-la-planta-e-iran-a-la-justicia

The union of the workers of the justice is not mentioned, here they lie, they used to be on Macri's side (they organized the 15F), seems that not any more.

Only in Argentina people prefer lifetime noquis to people who actually worked in companies :D

You mean noquis like them?

http://www.lanacion.com.ar/1859692-el-centro-cultural-kirchner-vacio-lombardi-desvinculo-a-600-empleados-y-planea-su-relanzamiento

Nobody defend noquis, but he is not dismissing noquis, he is doing political persecution/cleaning and downsizing the State so, he is just doing massive layoffs.

For dismissing a noqui you have to see his file, inform him that he is under dismissal procedure for noqui, he offer evidence that he is not and they decide. It takes 3 months or less. They don't use it because they are not dismissing noquis.

Well, to be honest, in the President's mind noqui means State employed.

Care to quote your sources re 2700 decrees in 2015?

It was already clarified.

The President rules by decree. So, the number is not the problem, it is the content.

The issue with the President is that he denaturates the decrees making them to replace laws. This is why he is a dictator.

Decrees are an administrative tool. So, a law comes from the Congress and the President can veto or approbe it. This is done by decree.

She was criticized here because he approved by decree about 100 judges and prosecutors but what he did is to do not veto them because they were selected and approved by the Congress.

The decrees are used also to clarify a law. For example, the restista visa 8000 pesos is in a decree not in the law.

Regarding layoffs. After and administrative procedure, if an employed is a noqui (a fake worker who just show up to get the check), theb the dismissal is signed by the President in a decree.

So, decrees are used to replace the Congress by dictators.

Now this gets a lot worst (for you expats):
Police can ask for the DNI you don't have without any reason.

Got a source for the 50% budget cuts?
Its good to see some people have experience in their fields.
The Monsanto seed company isn't some huge horrible evil company, its actually quite small. The previous government have a lot to answer for not enforcing proper procedures when using the relevant sprays and shit that's seriously harming kids in rural Argentina. I hope to see a change with the new one and hopefully the people who previously misused that shit get prosecuted.

Its good to see the position of minister of the environment being promoted to just below the president.
I too would prefer to see someone with a scientific background being put in this position, but the last guy Sergio Gustavo Lorusso was a lawyer. Scientists generally don't go into politics. Its something that should change.

Rabi Bergman is a fast learner as I hear...!

I'm still trying to imagine strolling through Plaza de Mayo on a lovely sunny day, taking selfies and snapshots of the Casa Rosada and the pigeons, when along comes a cop and asks me for ID.
I tell him I left it at home, he books me and takes me to the nearest police station, where I'm questioned and fingerprinted like in some third rate B movie.
And I'm not alone, there's a queue of similar non ID carrying offenders waiting to be questioned, whilst tourists and the elderly are being mugged just blocks away.
