Welcome To The Dictatorship Of Happiness

They've delayed it until February anyway.

I agree with EdRooney - I can't see that Bonafini did anything that the caserolazos weren't doing against Cristina, although I do indeed believe that the people Bonafini would incite to demonstrate may not have as much restraint as the caserolazos. If, however, there is indeed a riot of some sort where people and/or property get hurt as a result of Bonafinis call to roust against the "enemy", i could understand the possibility of charges.

If Macri himself supports tactics like this, in a democracy, that's a big down-tick for me. I wonder if Macri's OK with what Stornelli did?

Bonafini's organization just got hit with a judgement the other day, to pay off something like 33 million pesos (working from memory - I don't remember what the situation was). Why don't they work on legal means to get rid of corruption through the courts instead of trying to throw the old woman in jail because she thinks Macri is the enemy. Too many in Argentina think that already.

There was a denuncia by a lawyer and Stornelli took it up. I hope it doesn't stick because people, even de Bonafini, have a right to protest and should be able to express themselves, whether we like it or not and as long as it doesn't physically hurt someone or affects someone's rights (in this case, neither of which has happened).

However, I hope Macri is neither involved nor does he voice his opinion about it publicly. We either want independent justice system or we don't. It can't be that we wish for Macri to do something about it when we don't like what's going on and at other times stay out of it. I'm happy he hasn't said anything. And I hope he doesn't.

This denuncia was made December 2nd, by the way.

I hope he does make it law that protests can't block roads though.

Declaring "...As I predicted, the President is a dictator." is not serious criticism. Its not even criticism, its just reactionary statements designed to grab attention.

If you'd started with that I (and most everyone on here) would agree with you. Not scary by any stretch of the imagination but warrants watching. No one is under the illusion that Macri is an angel. However, too early to declare "yup, it's decided, he's a dictator!!". CFK went berserk her last 4 years. Judging Macri in 4 days to be like her or worse than her is not only not an objective critique but willful misrepresentation. Especially since he's done nothing illegal.

With all my respect, even Stolbitzer said that not even CFK dared to go that far. Nobody dared to point SC judges by a decree since 1854 and, if i don't remember wrong, it was after a civil war, so, it was well used.
Only dictator did.
It is very healthy to be very critic with officialism.

Indeed, interesting that someone who's lived through what she has doesn't have more respect for democracy in action.

Well, seems you have some extreme right friends.

Bonafini is a poor woman who got crazy after his whole family was kiddnaped, torture and killed.

If I understand correctly the people that did that to her family were not democratically elected. So where is your warped K brain is democratically elected the extreme right? As I understand it the Juntas where part of ..

The person who made that comment (that they are abroad, not kiddnaped, torture and killed) is extreme right or extreme stupid.

I don't agree at all with her, but in politics everybody knows that she is f....ing crazy and why.

Warped? Really? Seems that your mother failed to teach you the meaning of the word respect.

Well, it seems you haven't the foggiest notion what you're talking about.

I would hope that someone who lost children to a dictatorship would be damned glad for democratic elections.

Hellloooooooooouuuuuuu! We're on the same page, moron.
