What is the food you miss most from "home?"

I know nothing about supermarkets in Europe, but in North America, ie, the USA and Canada, supermarket bread is low quality and from giant corporate bakeries.
I never buy bread at a supermarket in either.
Where are you talking about in the US? In the last place I lived in TX, I had four supermarkets within 2 miles of my home that had in-house bakeries producing excellent baked goods. Within 4 miles my last CA home, I had five supermarkets, only one of which (Safeway) had a lousy bread selection, but still had higher quality (ie organic, natural) regional products to choose from. I just want to know where you’re talking about so I can avoid it.

I agree with you something that the USA Canada Australia does much better than Argentina is bread in all its shapes and forms .

or Fuerza or Obrador or Salvaje or Madre?

I buy bread, in Buenos Aires or in the US, from small bakeries that bake every day, and use quality ingredients.
I have been here long enough to remember when there was no Pan Quotidein here, (their first argentine location was in 2012) and in those days, it was much harder to find decent bread, but now, there are at least a couple dozen good bakeries that bake bread daily, all over the more affluent barrios.
Probably harder to find in Villa Soldati than in Nunez, but there are a lot of them, and many will send em right over to your house by Rappi.
Also Anchoita Panaderia has great bread and they'll slice it for you, too. Which is appreciated, as my bread knife has seen better days and slicing at home leaves crumbs all over my counter. haha But Fuerza and Salvaje, I'll also second. Love their bread and it's not that much more expensive than crappy grocery store pap.
