Has anyone had this vaccination and, if so, did you experience any serious side effects? Did you get it in Buenos Aires? Where? Thanks....

See this thread. I had it last Monday, first vaccination in my life. Wasn't really looking forward to it but I was in and out in 10 minutes and have had no side effects. It was free and painless.

You are OK as I have read that adverse symptoms appear within a week or less however what I've read is a bit disturbing - there can be some grave side effects, even death. Who administered the vaccine? A nurse? Was there a doctor there? How did it work?

It takes 10 minutes. I had no complications although my arm was sore the next day. You walk in, give them your passport & they give you a shot. Quick and easy.

hi,

In this place you can get your vaccination for free/or almost free:
Ing. Huergo 690 (S. Telmo)
Tel: 43431190.

Good luck!!!

i personally would try to avoid ever taking any kind of vaccine.

i'd much rather take my chances with the real disease than deal with the organisms being injected into my bloodstream as well as the long term side effects that could occur 10 or 20 years down the line.

i know that the stated thinking is a person should experience side effects within a short, early time period however i don't believe this to be true. secondary effects can occur many years later and nobody would ever think to trace them back to the vaccine shot.

Unscientific Scientistsby Ginger Taylor

The scientific community overstates the benefits of vaccination and understates the risks. And of course they do, vaccination is their baby. Yet they don't seem to have the insight to understand that there is a conflict of interest...

...They have confused actual "hard science" with "things that most scientists think", as there seems to be a denial of the fact that scientific consensus has quite often been, and most assuredly still is in many places, wrong...

Redrum - while that may be your choice (although we certainly can agree to disagree, I'm a huge proponent of vaccinations), some countries require you to have them in order to enter said country. It's not optional

Anyway, back to the original question - as Tina said, you can go and get the vaccine there for free. Quick process.

citygirl - yes, we can certainly agree to disagree. i think however there's enough evidence out there to give one cause for concern before ever thinking about taking a potentially harmful vaccine. Do not simply take a vaccine shot blindly without thinking about what you are about to inject into your body.

And just because a country makes it mandatory in NO WAY makes it correct or safe - on the contrary. just look at the unnecessary swine flu fear mongering recently pumped out by the WHO, moving us to level 6 for a flu that has not caused nearly as many deaths as normal influenza. We only need to look back at the swine flu scare in the US in 1976, the last time the government decided to implement a national inoculation, again using fear as a major impetus.

That's certainly true; but the measure remains mandatory. If you wish to be admitted to a state, even as a transient tourist, you must comply with its requirements, no matter how foolish or bad.

Indeed, you've but three choices, RR: comply; decline, and not enter the country; or "go Mexican", evading the authorities and sneaking in as you please. Only the first two choices are either legal or moral.

guys, nobody is arguing about the mandatory/voluntary policies of any country. all i'm saying is not to blindly trust what a doctor or government says you need to do as governments/doctors are not 100% correct.

i'm not saying that vaccines are never good or can never serve any positive purpose. however they should not be trusted blindly. pay attention to what you are putting into your bodies.

Squalene: The Swine Flu Vaccine’s Dirty Little Secret Exposed

http://www.prisonplanet.com/squalene-the-swine-flu-vaccine’s-dirty-little-secret-exposed.html

"Why are Vaccinations Dangerous?

The presumed intent of a vaccination is to help you build immunity to potentially harmful organisms that cause illness and disease. However, your body’s immune system is already designed to do this in response to organisms which invade your body naturally.

Most disease-causing organisms enter your body through the mucous membranes of your nose, mouth, pulmonary system or your digestive tract – not through an injection.

These mucous membranes have their own immune system, called the IgA immune system. It is a different system from the one activated when a vaccine is injected into your body.

Your IgA immune system is your body’s first line of defense. Its job is to fight off invading organisms at their entry points, reducing or even eliminating the need for activation of your body’s immune system.

When a virus is injected into your body in a vaccine, and especially when combined with an immune adjuvant like squalene, your IgA immune system is bypassed and your body’s immune system kicks into high gear in response to the vaccination.

Injecting organisms into your body to provoke immunity is contrary to nature, and vaccination carries enormous potential to do serious damage to your health."
