You read correctly, you situation doesn't qualify under any of the standard visas, as there is no remote working Visa, and to be more specific if you are residing in Argentina and working you owe Argentina Taxes, it isn't relevant that your work product is shipped abroad or that you receive...
I got 10K in them the other week, and have used them at carefour, Starbucks, a lavandera, a taxi, and a bar all without problem, a few looks at first but they all took them.
I can Second Home Hotel, was there recently for a "Spa Day"package, which includes sauna, salt bath, one hour Massage, and lunch, and quite enjoyed it, found it to be on the lower end price wise for the hotel spas(1,200 pesos).
I don't know if you realize it, but it is often cheaper to buy a Round Trip ticket than a one way, and just not use the return. I found R/T tickets to YYZ leaving in the next two weeks for 8,076 pesos if issuing them in Argentina, or $785 if issuing them in the US
I had the same issue with personnel and disappearing credit, so I ended up switching to Quam which runs on the Movistar network which has worked out great for me so far 90 pesos a month for 1.5gb internet 100 minutes talk and 5000 text.

We already had this whole discussion, and I explained how to avoid being charged the 35% when buying a ticket on Delta(you need to use a OTA(expedia, Orbitz, etc)that uses a non Argentine sales city and you wont be charged the 35%, if you buy a ticket from Delta directly you will be charged the...
if the transaction is processed outside of Argentina, Yes you will be charged 35% for using your CC outside of Argentina, whether the 35% charged for international travel is also been collected is questionable, as you have to know if they are issuing the ticket ex Argentina or not, most likely...
NO this is not a flight leaving the us, as I explained these are identical flights, but the data copied did not copy and paste that well.
If you care go and run the same flights once at Delta, and once at Expedia, you will see for yourself the difference in price for identical flights.
As I tried to tell you it is not where you start the journey, it is where the ticket is 'Plated" from, and apparently Delta is platting all there ex Argentina tickets from Argentina, hence the 35% charge(which isn't really 35%, as it is 35% on just the base fares not on any taxes or fuel...
I think the problem you were having is with Delta, as it appears that they are issuing all ex Argentina tickets from Argentina, whether you buy on the US website or from the AR one, However there is an easy way around this, if you are paying with a foreign CC book the ticket with a US...
Is there really 29.xxx Billion left, how much is cash/gold, and how much of that is bonds, some of which are bonds from other government agencies? hard to find reliable figures on the exact makeup of the reserves, could be for a reason I suppose ;)
13.10 is not that hard to believe, that is basically around what you get by dividing the reserves into the monetary base, here is a link to an interesting analysis of the peso, and were it may be headed.
