Peanut butter prices probably going to rise.....

Soy butter is actually not good for you. In the states I buy organic peanut butter with salt, olive oil and peanuts or organic almond butter. Here, I order organic almond butter as well as organic pumpkin butter (salt, nuts, and olive oil).

Survey - What are the 3 biggest issues you have in BA?

I missed having almond butter and almond milk so much, and found a great place that used organic nuts etc. I think it was only about 8 dollars for a decent sized jar. www.cocinaverde.com Tons of nut butters (pumpkin, almond, cashew etc etc)

    Gaining weight in Buenos Aires

Best way to lose weight/stay slim is to cut out processed "white" products (e.g. white flour, white sugar etc.) and avoiding things with fructose etc. I don't eat any of the argentine pastries aside from a teeny bite here and there as I don't think that they are that incredible/not worth the...

How did you end up being an expat in Buenos Aires?

Citygirl: Hi. I read the post where you mentioned that you came here to ride. I am a very avid rider in the states (jumpers) and was wondering what kind of riding you do and if you do jumpers, where you do it? I am looking at stables in Palermo, but would love to hear your recommendations...

    Buenos Aires or Madrid

I would pick Madrid without even giving it a second thought. You can get so many places in under two hours in the EU, the food is delicious, you would get paid in a much more stable currency, and IMHO Spain is much better than Bs. As. I have lived in several countries in Europe and had a...

Looking to hire a very part-time assistant.

Okay, so I am in desperate need of some help! I live in Recoleta, the person can work remotely, however, I would need to speak with them initially and on occasion in person. I am needing between 5-10 hours/week and am willing to pay 15.00 USD/hour. The person must speak fluent Spanish and...

Planning to start a Indian resturant in Buenos Aires

As someone who loves Indian food, has lived in London and eats at the best Indian restaurants in NYC, I recommend that you get an actual brick oven here. So far all the Indian food I have had here has been disgusting (Tandoor included). You need to have spicier options as well as true Indian...

    Cocina Verde-- Glowing review.

I found out about Cocina Verde on this site and after having received two orders, I am hooked. The food is incredibly fresh, healthy, inexpensive, and the owner Kara, is very accommodating and responsive. I am not a vegetarian or a vegan, but try to follow a very healthy diet. As someone who...

    Hi!

Uh oh! Here comes the feminist. <<rolls eyes and yawns>>> .. Just because you can do something eg. opening a door for yourself etc., does not mean that men shouldn't do it for you. There is something that is slowing ebbing away called chivalry. The people here (women included) are much less...

    Hairdresser that speaks English?

I have a great hairdresser (that also does FABULOUS extensions)... I cannot recommend Miguel Romano highly enough. His salon is incredible (if not a tad bit over the top-- if you go you will see what I mean ;)). I found out about him through the concierge at the Palacio Duhau when my husband...

Major Egos go shopping in the Big Apple

FYI, I think that they meant 100k pesos as most pairs of Loubs. cost around 600-1k USD aside from specials skins etc.

    Hi!

Hmm actually, no. I don't eat fast food and find it disgusting. I have lived in Europe and find the food even in the smallest little towns to be 100x what the food here is. I do agree that there are evidences of architecture similar to Madrid and parts of London, but I guess when people do...
