Actually blocks from where I live in Caballito on Av. Rivadavia. We had not experienced this type of robbery in the 2 neighborhoods in years!
There has not been a robbery in Almagro for years? Is this a serious statement? There are thousands of robberies in Almagro every year.

176 rapists are among those released in that 1%.

Unfortunately this is Argentina. The level of professionalism of many judges is highly questionable. Corruption and impunity is rife especially for those with political connections or “good lawyers”.

86% of Argentines oppose these releases. This means Argentines from both sides of the Grieta. The prisoners being released are not just those 65+, nor those who are doing time for unpaid parking tickets.

The fact is the government raced to negotiate with rioters and failed to set clear guidelines on who could be released and failed to monitor this, hoping to hide behind the judiciary to get some of their buddies out.

The President has gone from saying “I’m going to put them in prison” (e.g. quarantine breakers) to rushing to negotiate directly with prison rioters (e.g. Villa Devoto) to saying “It’s not my job to put people in prison” (e.g rapists, corruptos etc)

It stinks of impropriety, double standards and age old political games.

Three judges are up for impeachment. Hopefully more will follow.

And just to demonstrate that it is not only Feinnman that has a problem with this and that the release of rapists and other violent criminals is not "fake news"...

These guys look like well educated individuals that are more than likely going to contribute positively to the economy and social side. Let them free I say - maybe Alberto can house them in his house.

There was already a ruling against the Federal Chamber.....
Coronavirus in Argentina: they declare unconstitutional an agreement that recommends home confinement of convicts....
It is because the text of the National Criminal Cassation Chamber attempts against the guarantee of independence of the judges. The amparo (
legal safeguard) was presented by “Usina de Justicia”.

3 May 2020
....The ruling thus dictated the unconstitutionality of the "recommendation" of Cassation, after warning that a generic recommendation on the universe of prisoners cannot be admitted, without evaluating each case in particular, and where the role of the victim "is legally protected and it cannot be ignored ”. "The independence of the judge is absolute and cannot be limited or limited to recommendations emanating from a higher court," said Judge De Santo.

i thought that they wanted to protect human lives ?

"Fuentes judiciales ratificaron que el remisero dejó su celda en la Unidad N° 21 de Campana luego de siete meses de encierro el 12 de octubre del año pasado."

He was released after completing his sentence of 6 months, not because of the coronavirus.

Criminal Judges has no jurisdiction on amparos. They do habeas corpus. It is bs for the press.

That judge is an activist at a fake NGO known as usina de Justicia, something that you can google as soon as she teets as an activist, something banned for judges. It is a screen of Cambiemos.
She achieved the cacerolazo with a fake news.
The Supreme Court suspended her, ironies of life, because the judge protester against the cuarantine, got Covid-19.
Today she admitted it was a lie:
