It has nothing to do with xenophobia! Having the EU having a base in Chile(must say I didn;t know this) however, is one thing. Having China have a base is another.
And EU is foreign= xenophobic? A country that has no freedom of exp<b></b>ression or press. A country which doesn't protect rural workers' rights in factories. ETC ETC ETC!

Correct me if Im wrong, but they arent miitary bases, like the US has world wide, it is just a space base, no political objectives (unlike the US military bases).

Its similar from what the chileans did with the EU, its not a military base (far from that). They are just taking advantage of the favourable nature situation (desert, clear skies, etc)
