Countdown To Default!

19:30 "Vultures use the Caimans, they don't pay taxes in the US" :p
The Vultures are pigs. But they are legal. Put on your lawyer hat and see that we can not deal with them in any other way than a legal entity. They are not unique they exist in many countries. In fact.....these pigs aren't a US company.

If this was done the French way -> go for the kids of Singer (another weak point).

Like any Dad, Paul Singer would be ruined emotionally if his two boys had "accidents". (Better two deaths instead of a few thousands... But in France, we did a Revolution cutting heads, different from other Revolutions)

If you want to play, be ready to pay... Old say...

State interests are at hand... Singer wants to play in the big leagues, let it be.
That is an Emotional response.

Wishful thinking?
“An Argentina default is expected to be short-lived at this point and shouldn’t have any major implication for the country,” said Mauro Roca, a senior Latin America economist at Goldman Sachs in New York. “There’s the expectation that a deal with holdouts will be worked out soon.”

According to CFK/Kicillof however, it is not a default, since "there only is a default if you do not pay and Argentina paid". It is like saying whenever you plunder a store, but leave a 2 peso note, you do not steal, since you paid.
Kind of funny your analogy. What CFK is saying has very deep cultural meaning: saving face. Like it or not, it is a very important part of Argentine culture. She is duty bound to save face for the Argentine people. If you do business in Argentina, would be wise to understand the depth and importance of saving face.

Or, rather, a way of saving her own face (beyond even the reach of Botox and cosmetic surgery).

I think this is right on the money....Argentine drama is chronically omnipresent yet fleeting. There is always some kind of critical situation looming; lately multiple crises at once, however people lose interest and move on to the next one. They have more flavors of political drama than heladerías have ice cream flavors.
