Expat cleaning person?

I'm curious how you pay her in blanco. Are you an employer (you have a company and she works for you) or is she a monotributo and is self employed? How does someone who needs a cleaner pay in blanco?

Neither! There's a special tramite (I forget what it's called, I didn't do it myself, one of my employees organized it with my lawyer) *just to hire maids*. There's a whole maid provision of the law, just ways to pay them, their health insurance, their union, etc. I can find out the information, there are so many weird acronyms (AFIP ANES AYSA etc) that I mix them all up

Note, my lawyer explained to me the origin of the maid tax system, it's actually interesting: basically it is sooo complex to get anyone en blanco in argentina, but all the politicians/middle class/etc have maids, that they made a *special carve out in the law* for the maids, making a system where it's *really really easy* to get them en blanco. just a few tramites.

I don't even try to do tramites myself anymore, I used to drive myself crazy over that in the 8 year ago range, then I gave up and started hiring specialists.

On a related note (speaking of tramites): I just got my DNI!!!! Last week! Yay!!!! Maybe I'll scan it and post it! :)

Thanks, I did a search in AFIP and found this: http://www.afip.gov.ar/blanco/

Jez, we use Afip form 102 aportes y contribuciones - you can get it on the afip website, complete it and pay your monthly contribution at any bank. They register the payment against her cuit and you 2 2 copies of the receipt. This has been my interpretation of blanco as my lady works 24hrs per week....but all other info from others in safe situation appreciated.

I get shivers just seeing an AFIP web page..... (insert shiver up my spine here)

I have found loads of useful info on the AFIP website and the AFIP office in Bariloche is very helpful (and no queues). I don't employ people but am a monotributo and pay all my taxes (my accountant has just done my Bienes Personales). Looks like your are trying to do things legally, I'm sure that most people who have chills down their spines are those trying to avoid paying their taxes...I work on the principal that I'm a guest in the country (DNI & Permanent resident) so who am I to steal from the government, they seem to be able to do that well enough on their own...

I try hard to do everything very legally.... I get shivers not from a fear of avoiding them, but because of the nightmares that happen when I try to interact with them! I want to give them money, I want to pay them, I want to increase their revenue... you would think they would just accept it and take my money... but I have had to go through soooooo many hoops to convince them to let me pay them, it's ridiculous. Creating an SRL here was a nightmare experience for me :(

There was a thread about hourly wages etc, a few months ago: http://baexpats.org/expat-life/13814-hourly-wage-cleaner.html

Anyways, the OP is looking for an expat. I don't think I've read about an expat wanting to do cleaning jobs, except for maybe a couple of threads back a few years ago. If I remember correctly, one seemed very naive about making a living here cleaning homes, and the other one wanted the job as a study project or something like that.

This thread sounds like the threads about tipping, each person and situation is different and there is no 1 correct answer to what should be paid.

But what will the pay be in three months time if it's 25 now?? Another 30% more, so 33 pesos an hour and then by the end of the year it will be over 40 and no one will have a maid and they will be out of work.
So is it really possible to pay 25 an hour today (in the thread two months ago, Perry et al said they were paying 20 and now he's paying 25).
