Remember the "three strike" rule was kicked around awhile back, three overstays and you will be denied reentry. Also, is there not a difference in seriousness between being "denied entry" and " deportation"? A person can be denied entry for something as simple as not having the reciprocity receipt. Either way,, you are screwed, but seems it could carry some weight when trying to return.
Poor guy, feel for him.

Six years ago when I used to make Colonia runs I was told on my last trip in immigrations that I wouldn't be allowed in Argentina the next time. Things are slowly changing. They're making it impossible for foreigners who bring money to come and live in Argentina, and support the economy. It's quite sad. International corporations and enterprises are packing their bags and leaving.

Only civilised countries appreciates for those frequent entering foreigners whom may contribute to its economy by spending in the countries. But Argentina seems only caring for those that pays the " Taxes" !

I think che is confusing an investor VISA with permanent residency (green card).

But to get a US residency card, aka the "green card" via investors, one needs to invest over cool -million- US green backs!

Many people who are not legal US residents pay taxes anyway, while receiving few or no benefits. I daresay they are often more conscientious about doing so than the Teabag whiners whose states are the biggest beneficiaries of federal tax dollars.

They pay taxes, but not willingfully. The employer has obligation to deduct fed taxes and more ... many Mexicans that I have known being collected the taxes under Alias names! You go downtown Los Angeles and can buy Social security cards and also the fake Green cards for a fee!
