FBI Background Check

In another, much more recent thread on the subject, I believe one individual was able to get everything done and receive his FBI report in well under 30 days. I suggest using the advance search feature to find it, but I would also keep what citygirl just posted in mind as a quick turnaround may not be all that common.

1. Get the complete full picture AT A GLANCE. ......... http://baexpats.org/...on-for-dummies/

2. Don't read The Netty Gritty detailes, unleass you're looking for an answer to any specific question.

3. Make an informed decsion for your self,... what is in your best interest.

RCMP Criminal Record could be obtained in less than 1 week, like this:
Your commesaria here, will take your ink fingerprints.
You FedEx that to one of the hundreds of certified agents in [Canada], they will digitize it and send it to RCMP, Receive the result (3 days regular, 1 day rush), Legalize it and FedEx it back to you here.

Search Google .. to see if there is a similar service for digital FBI background check for Yankees.
( .. it's a new digital world out there .. things are changing).

Comisaria WILL do your ink fingerprints with a smile and free of charge ...
never heard any one having a problem doing just that.
this problem does NOT exist.

Steve - you're right. Someone did post they had used an expediter and it was quicker than a 30 day turnaround. Good catch!

In the most recent thread on the subject I believe that it was "revealed" that not all comisarias (Argentine police stations) will do the fingerprinting and that they wanted the person requesting them to have the official FBI form (which is available at the entrance to the US embassy without actually entering the building).

Thius is Argentina so there are probably exceptions. I am not sure if the FBI is now requiring the use of the official form o if blank paper is still acceptable. It was also suggested that several sent of prints be taken and submitted to be "sure" that at least one is acceptable to the FBI.

When I did it (both 2 times), I went with 2 sets of C-216 [RCMP forms] each time.
First time I got them by mail, with instructions from RCMP.
Second time I printed them off the internet, and were acceptable too, no problem.

I was not thinking ... that you can go with just a blank paper.

And also yes , ... Thius is Argentina so there are probably exceptions.
