"Leaving America"

I suppose you counted them one by one to be so sure.

I am sure that you can google the stats yourself...

However, this is not a contest. My point was simple: if someone promotes fascism or national socialism, almost everyone will instantly recognize his ideas as wrong. But if someone openly promotes communist/socialist ideas ("revolution", socialist version of "equality"), then it is not recognized as evil by most despite the fact that the ideology has failed every time in the past when it was tried and resulted in millions of deaths.

It will again in the attempt to achieve the New World Order.

And this time the death toll could include millions of Americans.

What's wrong with USAnian?

I didn't invent it by the way.
Frank Lloyd Wright coined the word in the early 20th Century

Well, it sounds kinda stupid, to be perfectly frank.:p

Thanks NoPat with the sugestion that will simplify all this discussion about the terminology used to describe a citizen from USA, good point

BTW.

Why we don´t use "Usanian" instead of American!!!?

Hey, I'm from the USA and it's stupid that many people from the USA call themselves americans and I don't even think of all the other american countries...

The american continent stretching from the Arctic Ocean in the north to Cape Horn in chilean "Tierra del Fuego", so the inhabitants of these lands are all Americans.

I would be so pissed if I was from Mexico, Canada or Panama and I heard americans say they're american as though I wasn't too..

I had an advanced Social studies! When I am out of the country I make sure to say that I am from the U.S.
Have you ever heard anyone say that they speak american, instead of saying English? Now that is an insult to our country too. So selfish and ignorant.

Why don't we call ourselves Usanian? What's so hard about that?

You see Steve it can be done it's not that difficult. <click>

Say it often enough and it will sound perfectly normal and acceptable

Not that I want to even get into a political discussion, but I can just say that it is always so amazing to learn of someones political ideologies and through which resources they use to inform themselves AFTER you have developed a conception of the person. It is even more interesting, however understandable, when the characterization of the person is developed from the abstract interactions one has with them through a forum like baexpats.

I have been reading and participating in this website for about a year, and would have never guessed that the articulate, well-informed, and often-helpful steveinbsas would be someone to even pander in the anti-intellectual, fascist propaganda that is coming out of the United States right now.

Thats all, and steveinbsas, no hard feelings, my parents whom I love much also watch Fox (and Beck) every single night. I am sure that you might feel the same about me, being that I am an American (sorry to those here who find that offensive, but it is indeed how us in the United States, in English, refer to one another, we really don't have another word for it) progressive, who Beck and troops refer to as a cancer.

Just fascinating.

Exactly, like Argentinean, Chilean or whatever and everyone will be happy...well maybe not the so called Americans (without the accent on the 'e') :p

USAnias, actually sounds quite nice to my ears.

I find the whole "american" debate so boring and so done. In the English- speaking world, people from the US are always going to be referred as Americans. Deal with it. As for the Spanish- speaking world, they can call us whatever they like as far as I'm concerned. But a lot of people here tend to refer to me as "americana"... in particular my in-laws and neighborhood merchants. They don't seem to think twice about it. And I could careless. It's too bad that so many threads get derailed by this controversy. I don't even remember what the OP wrote at this point...

What anti-intellectual or facist propaganda are you talking about? What do you really know about my political ideology from my counterpoint to those who have labeled Glenn Back anti-semitic without even watching his program to see and hear his comments in context?.

George Soros himself is the one who proposes a New World Order and a One World Government and an orderly devaluation of the dollar. What do you think QE2 is all about?

Glenn Beck didn't fabricate anything he said about George Soros and Soros isn't shy about who he is, what he's done, or what he wants for the world.

I suggest that you watch Glenn beck for yourself and see how well he supports his statements. If you think he is lying about or exaggerating anything please report back to us instead of making comments about me, which is the epitome of being anti-intellectual.
