Odd how the US media is barely covering this story...

Lucas: Ha ha your posts reflect a general level of naivite that is almost sweet. "I am shocked, shocked to discover that countries (even allies) are spying on each other."

If you don't think the US intelligence agencies (and many others) have a dossier on every head of state and political party in every country in the world you really are not well informed. Now whether these are always accurate is another matter. But you would find this information:
accusing the government of Argentina with corruption at the highest levels... at one point implicating a member of the President's own cabinet, who was suspected of being involved with a notorious drug cartel.
really unbelievable. Seems par for the course.

Yes, I am sure the US will start fortifying their Antarctic Science Station/Listening Posts in fear of Argentine invasion now that
the carnal relations are over
. My Lord, I hope we got a Hepatitis shot beforehand, and a Z-pack on the way out. I would not want to wake up and see what Christina looks like in the morning...sans makeup. Good thing we got those medical records...

but this may have been a cover for a top secret US spy mission in a foreign country (which may have been compromised before it ever began)
What could they for God's sake be interested in??? We have no hightech industry, our Army could not defeat a bunch of piqueteros, our politicians publish via Twitter personal details...
Moreover, why flying in those 'spy devices' via Ezeiza and not Formosa, like all the narKos do?

A&A, "carnal relations" is not a phrase I invented, this was a relation and very carnal with the US carried by the Menem government and sprayed around on every newspaper and communication media in this country, and yes the relations principles which this country accepted was to bend over all the way to delight and pleasure of Uncle Sam, please ask anyone what it was the "relaciones carnales" in Menem times and then you will know.

On this point I know you were being sarcastic, but the fact is that they want to control everything under they thumb and that is the main problem, this government of CFK with many others in this Southamerican region are feed up with that control and the support given to military juntas and dictators, feed up with the Coup d'état organized with the stamp of approval from the US, as the Egyptians just found out enough is enough, supporting dictators around the world is a no go anymore and that is why they start to get worry.

Exactly, the whole thing is absurd on the face of it, what would be the objective? By the way the list of contraband is coming out, I believe the disagreement is over one machine gun(the serial number was transposed on the manifest), morphine in a first aid kit, communication equipment that was declared(apparently customs thought they should declare each component separately). Not exactly enough stuff to start even a small amount of mischief.

Where is this list available? In general, who is covering this story well (preferably English)?

If this is really the cause of the problem, then even Lucas can't explain this way.

This is like attacking someone for holding the fork in the wrong hand at a dinner party and imprisoning them for "conspiring to overthrow society".

This is just embarrassing. (Not that we weren't at this point already.)

Can anyone tell me what about the US Air Force's mistakes was an attempt to "STAY IN CONTROL"?

In order of importance so keep up:

1. US talks about "war" a lot (i don't know is it a lot compared to historic episodes like the 100 years war, the 20 years war, the Punic Wars (plural)) because we are not only fighting ours, but yours, and every other countries. "You want us on that Wall, You need us on that Wall,.....I would rather you said thank you and go your merry way"

Who in the World told you that? I didn't started any war nor do I wish any war. Sorry, but here you may be believing too much what your Government wants you to believe.
