Hi, I have just recently moved to BA and am currently doing my Celta. The house an staying in was burgled on Friday and they literally packed up my rucksack and stole everything I have with me in Argentina. This included a netbook for my work and a Lumix camera + 1000 pictures. Is anyone selling any of the above or know of anywhere cheap where I Can go to get replacements at a good price or second hand?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you!

damn that's bad luck! enter to mercadolibre.com.ar there you can find all you want and at a good price!

yes, definitely mercadolibre. there you will find your stolen stuff available for you to buy back!

Sorry to hear about your incident. Something similar almost happened to me, So I know the feeling.
There's a guy who buys & sells cameras although mostly antique cameras but just in case you might pay him a visit.
He's at Ave Independencia 408 near the corner of Defensa Street in the heart of San Telmo.

The guy is totally legit. He's been selling cameras with his two sons for years, very knowledgeable & a good guy.
Good luck.

Sorry to hear about that :( At least you are ok and weren't there when it happened! I have a Canon camera for sale on here, it's brand new with a memory card and a canon case, from the US.

Here is the link: http://baexpats.org/classifieds/item/473-furniture-electronics-womens-clothing-shoes/
Also, mercadolibre has just about everything for sale, it's similar to ebay.

Suerte y saludos!

You can try finding a camera on calle Libertad and Corrientes (a block from Obelisco). A lot of "liberated" electronics finds its way there. Same thing around Constitucion but if you're a foreign I would not recommend u try it.
Be careful with Mercado Libre, have an argentinian speaking person make contact instead of you. If the goods offered are also "liberated" and you're detected as a gringo you might run into another kind of trouble.

You'll likely not get any results from this now, but it might be useful later on to see who ended up with your stolen camera. You'll need at least a photo from your camera to do the search: http://www.stolencamerafinder.com/

I'm so sorry to hear what had happened to you... I was robbed waiting for a taxi a couple of days ago. Not only was I robbed, they also held me hostage in an abandoned warehouse for 2 hours... Terrified and very lost on what I should do next...
