Computer Repair Help Needed - Where To Go?

Hi Pauper, thanks for referring me to Walter. I just replied to his PM and hopefully we can get the system back up as quickly as possible.
I had a missed call from a number that wouldn't work, so hopefully he'll get my PM soon.

Liquid spills are the most common accidents with laptops, just yesterday I successfully restored a macbook soaked in red wine, all cases are different , cross fingers.

All the best.

Ricardo.

Ricardo at http://www.balaptop.com/ would be your best bet.

Ricardo-san, do you do a freebee advise ? If yes, I am having typing key problem on going. Did the re-boot and did a full scan for virus as suggested by redpossum in here.
Still can not most of time the key stroke does not show in letters, have to slowly and repeatedly hit the same letter many times over for the letter to show up...Any advice ?

Hi, very annoying it must be. Usually, these errors on the keyboard are liquid related, repeated extra pressure placed on the key over time making it fail in the circuit beneath or maybe even just some lint/cat hair/ dust etc under the actual key itself. More often than not, it may just be hair or lint under the key. Removing the key the wrong way may irreversibly damage it, so extreme caution must be used if you want to solve the issue your self. Otherwise, if it's not urgent, you could always plug in an external USB keyboard.

Ricardo-san,Domo-Arigato Understood.

Better to take it to a pro to see if can clean foreign object stuck underneath the key.

May I ask another one, if you don't mind?
When reading your response and wanting to just answer by clicking on th Quote button next to the MultiQute
then if doing this way, just opens a new tab ? I was able to reply a comment~answer by just clicking on the Quote but now can't ??
Any advise as to why is this happening to me?

I'd guess your keyboard membrane is fucked and needs replaced.

I appreciate the comments many of you made when I first posted my request today. Good answer in removing the battery. Great answer in terms of who to approach to fix the problem. My computer is now with that person. Should know tonight what needs to be done and the costs involved with it. Perhaps also the parts which need to be installed too. I appreciate Pauper pointing me in the right direction along with another friend on this forum too. I will update later what happened to this machine and what needed to be done to correct the situation too. Anything else PM me.

I'm glad you took out the battery and it wasn't too late. I'm glad you found someone to fix it. Good luck with the whole thing.
