good for you. I was born here and I yet have to date someone a year older than me then again, I lived abroad most of my life. It is all a question of preference but when choices exist

Without trying to take away the importance of the original post, as a 50 year old divorced man, I kind of like Argentina for that, far less judgemental (at that age) than in Ireland, where I have been called a cradle snatcher (13 years difference).

I agree, there are less hang ups than you'd find back in UK/Ireland.

yes, my post dealt with a very different issue. It was very much concerning young girls (under 16) with much older guys.

Obviously, some of you have seen it too, some of you haven't. The world continues to spin.

OK, I've waited 2 years to make this post because I didn't want to rush in shouting off my mouth about something I didn't really "get".

In my two years I've been here, I've now counted around 10 examples of friends/gfs/colleagues who have told me about friends/gfs/sisters/brothers, etc who are involved in relationships where the guy is anywhere between 22 and 35 and the girl is 14 or 15 years of age, perhaps 16 at a push.

I have been here over 2 years and never have heard of these situations. How did you learn about them? I realized early on that this is a very macho society, but I never thought that it went to this extent.
