The deal with Argentine men and their "girl" friends

Alright, I think I've got it. So as long as she gets good grades, who cares about morals, STDs and teenage pregnancy (and with a guy 20 years her senior as the father)?

Well, that´s exactly what I was trying to mean when I did the parallel with the beer drinking prohibition in NYC. You just have a different morality value. Regards

This is not regarding morality, this is regarding proper sexual education.

It isn't drinking prohibition, you simply cannot have an open container of alcohol on the street. Makes sense to me in terms of being able to enforce underage drinking laws.

Not really sure how you can relate that issue to morality and promiscuity of minors.

I was saying morals, in addition to STD and pregnancy concerns.

It´s the same, both are regarding morality.

Tell me, I am 34, why I cannot drink a beer while I walk at the streets in Brooklyn? I am not precisly under age. There is not a practical reason for that.

Regarding teenagers, they are not things or children. Since they are 14 years old, according to the Civil Code, they are able to decide in many matters.

So, as I mentioned, our society has a different value about morality. Of course there are people who goes to church every sunday and they might disagree with me in many matters. But I talk about what our law says.

But this is regarding your morality believes, you can teach your children whatever you want regarding morality but you cannot finger point other people about what they do or they don´t do.

Seems you agree with the Pope, he recommends celibacy until marriage as a way to avoid STD and pregnancy. Regards

No, I am not a fan of the Pope and am not against premarital sex. I just believe in crossing your legs until you are of a certain age. And the whole original topic was about teenage girls with men old enough to be their fathers, not about teenage dating in general.

I am from Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Saavedra, I am 34.

I remember to stay to sleep at my girlfriend´s home when we were 17.

My sister´s boyfriend used to stay at home too since she was 16.

Nowadays she works at a place called CONICET reserching how to use star fish to duplicate human organs like liber.

So, I don´t think there is a dicotomy between having private life while you are a teenager and being concern about studies. That`s a prejudice regarding personal believes like religion but this is not a fact at all.

Regards
I get that, I do not think it is wrong when it is two teenagers of similar ages. A different thing is an adult, say mid 40s witha 16 yo... I am 36 from Villa Crespo btw.

Look around. Everywhere here you have groups of young people sitting in doorways passing around a bottle of quilmes. I'm not one of the security paranoid expats but I always get a little nervous when I see this. Drunk people are always more scary than sober ones. If this were illegal and people had to drink in, oh the horrors, their houses, it would make the streets a much nicer place to walk.

Sick, i wouldnt even date a 35 year old now, and im 23. No matter what the law says, or how much people should be free to have their own morals etc, whatever Bajo_cero said, a guy old enough to be the girls father dating her, is twisted. If i think back on how i was, and how my friends were, when we were 15, then a guy having sex with a girl like that... just makes me want to puke? Of course 15/16 year old can have sex, can be curious, of course theyre smart enough to make some sort of decision about anything, but figure it all out with people of your own age. I cant believe parents are fine with being the same age as the daughters boyfriend?
